What a fantastic book! Peterson does an excellent, logical and methodical job of examining Mormon history, doctrine and beliefs. With surgical precision he is able to cut to the heart of the matter- Does Mormon beliefs and doctrine hold up to scrutiny. Not just any scrutiny, but that which their own founders call upon the follower or reader to do- to examine their teachings measured against the truth of God as written in the scriptures found in the Bible.  Perfect!

Not knowing much about the Mormon Religion, I found the subject material to be fascinating. Peterson presents the reader with copies of any material referenced as well as the name of the book or article, date and author that it was written by- thus strengthening its credibility. Peterson points out that not only does the Mormon doctrines and belief’s contradict that found in the Bible- it straight out contradicts its own doctrines and teachings.

Peterson also gives warning to Christians not to use this information as club to beat down Mormons. Instead, it is merely information to know so that you can accurately share your faith, on a common ground, with those that you come in contact with. Share the hope of salvation you have in the same manner that Jesus shared when he was on this earth.

A must read for any Christian!
